About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people across more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life by solving complex challenges together. Our Nuclear Business Unit supports programmes that require strong project and programme controls capability, with planning acting as a key integrator across cost, risk, change, and delivery functions.
As a Senior Planner, you will lead the development, integration, maintenance, and assurance of project and programme schedules within complex and highly regulated environments. You will ensure schedules are robust, logic-linked, auditable, and aligned to scope, delivery strategy, governance requirements, and reporting cycles. Your role will involve establishing and maintaining planning standards and controls, managing schedule baselines, driving integration across project controls disciplines, and providing schedule assurance and constructive challenge.
You will lead planning inputs to governance forums, integrated baseline reviews, schedule quality assessments, and performance assurance activities. Additionally, you will analyse schedule performance, critical path, trends, risks, and opportunities to provide clear advice on delivery confidence and recovery options. You will oversee contract-driven planning activities, support delivery strategy and programme phasing, and facilitate planning workshops with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Providing line management, coaching, and development support to planners, you will champion continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, and outputs. The scope of accountability will be aligned to experience and programme needs, ranging from schedule assurance through to integrated controls leadership.
This role requires candidates who meet UK nationality and security requirements and are eligible to obtain and maintain Security Clearance (SC). You will be supporting confidential clients and working on highly challenging and rewarding programmes that demand strong analytical capability and a structured, governance-led approach.
