About the Role
Sitting within the Multi-Agency Public Protection Service (MAPPS), this role provides quality product management within a complex agile programme. MAPPS supports multi-agency oversight of relevant offenders once released from custody, involving police, probation services, and other organisations. The programme has a high political profile and a complex network of stakeholders, focusing initially on achieving parity with a legacy system, followed by continuous improvements to meet evolving customer needs.
You will be part of a team of Product Managers working alongside interaction designers, user researchers, developers, and testers to deliver world-class services that balance user needs with strategic operational and policy requirements.
The role focuses on the strategic MAPPS product and its long-term development or on specific product elements, ensuring these are well understood by development teams.
Where business needs allow, some home-based working is possible, but employees are expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in the office.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will use your knowledge of user needs and business goals to frame and solve problems, set priorities for delivery teams, and be responsible for the overall vision and quality of the product. You may manage multiple related products and have responsibilities for coaching, mentoring, and recruitment of Associate and Product Managers.
Main responsibilities include forming product vision, leading roadmap and lifecycle planning, managing product backlogs, providing final sign-off on releases, driving continuous improvement through data and user feedback, and ensuring compliance with government digital standards and accessibility legislation.
This is a full-time role with compressed hours available.
