We are recruiting a Senior Project Manager to work with a strategic client in the energy sector, supporting a major electricity transmission project. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our expansion and deliver distinctive value by managing and delivering key projects and programmes.
You will be responsible for leading projects to deliver agreed outcomes within time, cost, and quality requirements, managing internal fee expectations, risk mitigation, and change management. You will collaborate with project teams, clients, design teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key responsibilities include managing programme, budget, and risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental legislation and CDM regulations, providing regular updates on project progress and performance, developing projects during early lifecycle phases including optioneering and consenting, managing design stages with focus on safety and deliverability, supporting tendering processes, managing project delivery and commissioning, acting as the key interface between internal and external teams, coordinating contractors and project teams, managing complex third-party issues, and chairing progress and cost review meetings.
You will lead and coach others effectively, persuade and influence stakeholders, explore innovative approaches, and communicate confidently and clearly.

Experience
- Proven experience in electrical infrastructure projects
- Management of projects during pre-construction phases including optioneering, development, and consenting
- Delivering client projects to time, cost, and quality within regulated sectors
- Management of health, safety, and environmental risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordination of multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes
- Good understanding of HS&E management systems and environmental management
- Experience with NEC contracts in project delivery
- Knowledge of risk management processes for schedule and cost analysis
- Experience in formal hazard review processes
- Understanding of procurement associated with complex projects
- Knowledge of project handover records

Qualifications
- Degree qualified with a minimum of five years’ relevant regulated industry experience OR HNC/HND qualified with a minimum of seven years’ relevant regulated industry experience
- Membership of a relevant professional institute
- Recognised training or qualifications in health, safety, and environmental management (e.g. NEBOSH, SMSTS, or IOSH)
