About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Area Regeneration Team at Camden Council. The team leads the delivery of the We Make Camden vision, working collaboratively with residents, businesses, and partners to create positive change across Camden’s neighbourhoods.

As a Senior Regeneration Officer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering place-based regeneration projects that respond to local needs and support Camden’s strategic goals. You will manage a variety of area-based regeneration programmes including:
- Bringing vacant Council-owned buildings back into use for commercial and social value
- Delivering and monitoring the trial pedestrianisation of Camden High Street and supporting its cultural programme
- Building grassroots community partnerships through the ‘One Kilburn’ Community Improvement District pilot
- Enabling regeneration of the Kentish Town Regis Road Growth Area, unlocking new homes, jobs, open spaces, and community facilities

You will work collaboratively across the council and with a wide range of stakeholders including residents, community groups, businesses, landowners, institutions, and public bodies such as the GLA, TfL, and central Government.

Your responsibilities will include developing a deep understanding of Camden’s communities, applying strategic thinking and practical delivery, managing multiple projects to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes, securing funding, preparing reports and presentations for elected members and public forums, creating public communications and consultation materials, and building strong partnerships through engagement and participation.

Flexible working options are available and open to discussion. This role includes 1 permanent and 2 fixed term/secondment contracts until September 2026. The recruitment process is anonymised to support inclusion and reduce unconscious bias.

Experience
Proven experience in regeneration, community engagement, partnership building, built environment, development, economic growth or related fields. Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver urban regeneration projects, work with diverse communities, and engage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in regeneration, urban planning, community development, or related disciplines are desirable but not explicitly stated as mandatory.
