About the Role
The London Borough of Merton’s award-winning Library & Heritage Service is seeking to appoint a Senior Service Development Officer on a fixed term contract for 6 months with the potential to extend. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to lead on a range of projects, events, community engagement activities and service improvements that support the Library & Heritage Service's priorities. You will develop partnerships with internal and external organisations, and lead marketing and communications activity to promote services and increase participation. This role offers the chance to contribute to a forward-thinking and innovative library service committed to improving outcomes for local residents. A strong understanding of how libraries contribute to community needs and council priorities is essential.
Experience
Proven experience delivering projects, engaging with communities and managing multiple priorities effectively.
About you
Excellent communication and organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, and a strong understanding of the important role libraries play in supporting communities and delivering council priorities.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in service development, community engagement, or a related field are desirable.
