About the Role
The Financial Times is seeking an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist for a 9-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave. You will join the global Talent Acquisition team and manage a varied, fast-moving portfolio of approximately 15–18 live requisitions across multiple business areas including Product, Technology and Commercial. This hands-on recruitment delivery role involves full ownership of the recruitment lifecycle from initial briefing and market assessment through sourcing, screening, interview management and offer negotiation. While primarily supporting UK hiring, you will also recruit across other regions, particularly the US and APAC, adapting to different functions, levels and geographies. You will build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, advise on recruitment strategy, and champion fair and inclusive recruitment practices. Working Model
We operate a hybrid working model requiring onsite presence approximately 50% of the time, subject to role requirements and regular review. Flexible working requests will be considered where suitable.

Experience
- Significant end-to-end talent acquisition experience, ideally within a complex international organisation or fast-paced in-house recruitment environment
- Proven ability to independently manage a high-volume portfolio of concurrent vacancies while maintaining strong candidate and stakeholder experience
- Broad recruitment experience across multiple functions including Product, Technology and Commercial
- Experience recruiting at senior and specialist levels with confidence partnering senior stakeholders
- Experience managing recruitment across multiple regions, ideally UK, US and APAC
- Strong direct sourcing and headhunting skills, including engaging passive candidates for hard-to-fill roles
- Confidence managing recruitment independently from sourcing through to offer negotiation without dedicated coordinator support
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with ability to advise and challenge constructively
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills to maintain momentum across multiple processes
- Strong judgement and assessment skills to understand unfamiliar roles and identify required capabilities
- Experience applying inclusive recruitment practices and supporting fair, structured candidate assessment
- Confidence using recruitment data and market insight to inform hiring strategies
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, ideally Greenhouse or similar
