About Camden
Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all. This role sits within the Property Management Service and will be responsible for the delivery of gas servicing, repair and maintenance across Camden’s domestic heating stock. The Council has 33,000 homes, of which 12,500 homes are served by a domestic heating boiler.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and customer-focused Service and Repair Engineer to join Camden’s in-house team. You will carry out essential servicing, diagnostics, and repair work within our social housing portfolio to ensure that heating and hot water, including gas boilers and renewal technologies such as air source heat pumps, remain safe, compliant, and fully functional. You will interact directly with residents and housing teams, playing a vital part in delivering a reliable and responsive gas maintenance service that meets all statutory and quality standards. This role supports Camden’s ambition to provide a high-performing, resident-focused repairs service that delivers statutory obligations while promoting quality, safety, and value for money.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years' experience in domestic heating servicing and maintenance, with hands-on experience and technical excellence in domestic gas work.
About you
You will have a solid understanding of social housing environments and customer needs. Your proven diagnostic and repair skills for gas heating systems, combined with a strong understanding of gas safety legislation and LGSR compliance, will be essential. The ability to work independently, manage your time, and prioritize effectively is crucial. Additionally, good communication skills are necessary to succeed in this role.
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are listed, but relevant experience and a commitment to resident satisfaction and safety are essential.
