About the Role
Are you a Psychology graduate looking for your next step? Are you someone people turn to when distressed or troubled, someone who knows the right thing to say or do, someone who does not judge, does not make assumptions, and can see the potential in everyone? As a Social Therapist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team on an in-patient ward. With supervision, support, and training, you will deliver interventions defined within the personalised care plan, engaging, connecting, and supporting service users, families, carers, and friends through their recovery pathway. You will help facilitate activities/groups and ward-based projects, actively involved in every aspect of the physical, psychological, and social care of people who use our service.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Actively participate in both the assessment and care plan process, defining care needs and ensuring care is individualised to meet the holistic needs of the service user. Work with registered nurses and other members of the Multi Disciplinary Team to ensure defined care is implemented, that patients are actively involved in all aspects of their care, and fully understand the Care Programme Approach process. Ensure that creative and meaningful activities, both individual and group, take place, especially outside the hours of 9-5, focusing on recreational activities, recovery, awareness, and moving on. Work as an associate nurse participating in MDT reviews and care discussions for the service user.

Why Cygnet? We’ll offer you…
Strong career progression opportunities, expert supervision & support, pension scheme, “Cycle to work” scheme, employee discount savings, and much more!
