About the Role
Join Tripadvisor as a Software Engineer II (Android) within our fast-growing mobile team. This role focuses primarily on Android development with occasional backend projects, working in a modular, clean-architecture environment using Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, Cursor, and GraphQL. You will collaborate closely with product managers and designers, owning the full software lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance. Our engineers release code frequently, embracing a daily release cycle in a fun, friendly, and results-driven environment. What You'll Do
- Write high-quality Android app code and contribute to backend microservices
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define and deliver features
- Take ownership of software engineering processes including design, QA, and maintenance
- Work alongside global engineering teams to solve diverse technical challenges

Experience
- Minimum 3 years of commercial software development experience
- Proven experience developing Android applications
- Familiarity with mobile web and backend technologies is beneficial
- Experience with reactive programming on native mobile platforms
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency and quality
- Ability to operate effectively with a global-first mindset
