About the Role
This Solutions Architect role is instrumental in defining strategic technology direction across operational domains in collaboration with domain architects, acting as the technical design authority for project delivery, and maintaining strong governance and architectural standards. Covering a wide landscape including Baggage, Airfield, Engineering, Rail Systems, and Passenger Systems, this role demands both strategic foresight and hands-on technical oversight. You will work at the intersection of infrastructure, operations, and innovation, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with Heathrow's long-term goals. You will be part of a collaborative environment delivering prestigious and large-scale projects that transform terminals, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance the unique infrastructure of Heathrow Airport.

About the Team
The Solutions team delivers project management, process improvement, business change, technology, cyber defence, masterplanning, infrastructure, and procurement. You will contribute to projects that make every journey better for millions of passengers each year, working with technology and data that power Heathrow’s city within a city, driving commercial agreements, and improving infrastructure including over 200 buildings and 250 HV substations.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in strategic technology direction and technical design authority roles. Experience working across complex operational domains such as Baggage, Airfield, Engineering, Rail Systems, or Passenger Systems is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable, secure solutions aligned with long-term business goals.
