About the Role
Join Camden Council as the Strategic Accommodation Lead for Supporting People to help shape and deliver our commitment to provide equitable access to homes and support for those who need it most. Reporting to the Head of Learning Disability, Autism and Mental Health Commissioning, you will lead the implementation of the Supporting People Connecting Communities (SPCC) Accommodation Plan. This role involves driving collaboration across adults, children’s services, housing, development, and other partners to develop a robust pipeline of future accommodation-based provision for people requiring additional care and support to live independently.
You will provide expertise and visible leadership, building strong partnerships across sectors to match new accommodation options with future needs. Working closely with health and social care colleagues, you will help develop effective, strength-based, and value-for-money support offers that enable people to thrive and live as independently as possible.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on delivering high-quality, sustainable accommodation that meets the diverse needs of Camden’s community.
Experience
Proven track record in managing complex, multi-agency programmes, developing strategic business cases, and navigating financial and organisational challenges. Experience within Council or Registered Provider development roles and/or commissioning, social care, and health is highly desirable.
About you
An adaptable and resilient collaborator who thrives on building strong, honest relationships across sectors to deliver meaningful change. You combine strategic insight with a genuine commitment to improving people’s lives through well-planned, sustainable accommodation solutions. You understand how accommodation-based support services can be delivered through collaboration with housing, planning, and capital development partners.
Qualifications
