About the Role
Join the Southern Region of Network Rail, one of the busiest and most dynamic parts of the railway covering Wessex, Sussex, and Kent. As a Team Organiser, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to specialist teams, enabling them to focus on keeping Britain moving. This fixed term contract is for 8 months with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent.
Your key responsibilities will include managing general office administration such as mail control, diary coordination, and maintaining personnel records including assets like mobile phones. You will arrange travel, accommodation, vehicles, and order Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the team. Organising meetings, preparing and distributing documentation, taking minutes when required, and following up on actions will be part of your role.
You will provide a consistent telephone presence delivering excellent customer service and sending team communications as needed. Maintaining efficient filing systems, ensuring records of meetings, statutory documents, and authorisations are up to date is essential. You will also use financial and procurement systems, acting as Local Purchasing Agent to order stationery and office consumables, report IT and office facility issues, and undertake administrative tasks including technical literature searches.

Experience
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a professional telephone manner
- Proficiency in relevant IT packages
- Experience working as part of a team

Qualifications
