About the Role

We are proud of our clinical excellence, research, teaching, and commitment to patient-centred care. Our Tobacco Dependence Treatment Team is a small, friendly, and experienced group dedicated to improving patient health through tobacco dependence interventions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Acute Tobacco Dependence Treatment Team as a Tobacco Dependence Treatment Specialist. You will work across two hospital sites delivering tobacco dependence treatment to patients, including ward-based interventions, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary team training. This role supports the Trust’s Long Term Plan for tobacco control and contributes to a culture shift towards prevention and optimised physical health and wellbeing.

The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering tobacco dependence services, ensuring staff training in very brief advice (VBA), monitoring compliance with core care standards, managing outpatient clinics, and supporting the ongoing development and roll-out of tobacco dependence programmes throughout the hospital. You will work collaboratively to promote seamless care pathways and integrate tobacco dependence services into broader health initiatives.
