About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Undergraduate Support Officer to provide a 12-month secondment/FTC within the Undergraduate Medical Education Department at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. This role involves coordinating placements and is an excellent opportunity for those looking to enhance their operational and project management skills.
Main Duties
As an Undergraduate Support Officer, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of undergraduate placements, working closely with service and Undergraduate Directors and Leads, medical, nursing, and clerical staff. You will identify and implement initiatives to improve services in consultation with the Undergraduate Service Manager. Key responsibilities include:
- Timetabling system migration, administration, and support
- Governance/departmental meeting support through minute taking and following up on meeting action logs
- Electives and work experience placement coordination
- General administration across the student experience and lifecycle
- Gathering and monitoring medical student and faculty compliance with all undergraduate and trust-wide policies.
Experience
Essential Criteria
- Experience of project work and planning/organisation and coordination of work
Desirable Criteria
- Some NHS experience
Skills/Knowledge/Ability

- Good knowledge of medical student placements
