About the Role
The Youth Development Officer role involves working within the London Borough of Bexley to support and develop youth services at Welling Youth Centre. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and wellbeing of young people in a vibrant and diverse outer London borough. Bexley combines the energy of city life with the tranquillity of Kent, featuring award-winning parks, open spaces, heritage sites, excellent transport links including the Elizabeth Line and proximity to the M25, as well as a wide range of amenities such as libraries, leisure centres, shopping areas, and educational institutions. The role supports the council’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. Appointment to this post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Interviews are scheduled to be held at Welling Youth Centre.

You should be committed to working with young people and able to work at least two evenings per week.
