About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and technical Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the implementation of our newest innovations in Agentic Analytics across Tableau Next, Cloud, and Server. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between product and customer success. Your primary mission is to partner with our most strategic new customers to architect and deploy their very first agentic analytics use cases and supporting metrics and dashboards. By building robust semantic data models on top of the Salesforce Data360 and incorporating Agentforce topics and actions, you will transform raw data into actionable, conversational insights. You will not only ensure the technical success of these initial launches but also channel critical feedback from the field to our product teams, directly shaping the future of enterprise-scale agentic analytics.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy bespoke conversational analytics agents, optimizing for accuracy, latency, and user relevance.
- Design and refine complex semantic data models within Salesforce Data360 to enable accurate interpretation, querying, and visualization of enterprise data.
- Accelerate customer time-to-value by rapidly prototyping and iterating solutions to address specific business questions.
- Engineer scalable data pipelines to ingest, clean, and unify structured and unstructured data from multiple sources into the Data360 lakehouse environment.
- Serve as the technical voice of the customer by documenting implementation challenges and collaborating with Product Management and Engineering to prioritize enhancements.
- Conduct technical hand-offs and mentoring sessions with customer data teams to ensure ongoing maintenance and expansion of semantic models and agents.
- Troubleshoot complex architectures by performing root cause analysis on performance issues, hallucinations, or data modeling errors to maintain a reliable production-grade experience.

Experience
- 7+ years of technical experience in data engineering, analytics implementation, or software development with a focus on customer-facing delivery.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern data architectures and SQL, particularly in data modeling and schema design.
- Practical experience building or deploying solutions utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or conversational AI frameworks.
- Solid understanding of semantic modeling including mapping business logic to physical data layers such as semantic layers, ontologies, or metrics layers.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and scripting; familiarity with API integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI coding and agentic harnesses for rapid iterative development and implementation of prototypes and integrations.
- Proven problem-solving agility in navigating ambiguity and solving novel technical challenges in fast-paced, live customer environments.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical business stakeholders and executive leadership.

Qualifications
- Experience with Tableau and similar BI platforms, including data source integration, calculation syntax, and dashboard design.
- Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem including Agentforce, Data Cloud, Einstein, and Apex.
- Experience architecting or implementing system automations and integrations via iPaaS or API gateways.
- Previous experience in a Forward Deployed or Solution Architecture role at an enterprise software company is highly desirable.
