About the Role
As an Applications Manager, you will lead the ongoing configuration and optimisation of key modules within the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, supporting specialty clinical applications across multiple sites and organisations. You will align system functionality with clinical workflows and patient pathways to enhance care delivery. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team including a Deputy Applications Manager, Senior Analysts, and Analysts, sharing responsibility for project delivery alongside business-as-usual management. You will coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth system implementation, upgrades, and ongoing support.

The position is a new role unifying policies, procedures, and skilled teams across Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College Hospital NHS Trusts. You will be responsible for maintaining and advancing Epic modules and other associated software applications, managing complex change and improvement projects, and overseeing non-Epic systems in collaboration with IT and technology teams. Your leadership will be vital in developing innovative healthcare management models, improving workflows, and delivering change projects that support senior managers, clinicians, and partners.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are two of London’s largest teaching hospitals with a strong reputation for specialty services, research, and education. Together, they employ around 30,000 staff and have an annual turnover of nearly £3 billion. The trusts share a Chief Digital Information Officer and a vision for agile, lean digital services supported by significant investment in a new EHR system to transform technology and data use across services.
