We are seeking a commercially minded and experienced Senior Programme Manager with a passion for digital transformation and innovation in healthcare. This pivotal leadership role will oversee the delivery of key programmes including the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator and Launchpad, supporting innovators and NHS partners to navigate digital transformation challenges.
You will manage programme operations efficiently at a regional or national level, lead and motivate diverse teams, manage financial resources, and engage strategically with senior NHS directors, clinicians, and external stakeholders. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of health technology innovation within the NHS.
Main Duties
As one of two Senior Programme Managers, you will work closely with the Programme Director and Commercial Director to manage a portfolio of programmes at the Health Innovation Network South London. Your responsibilities include:
- Managing delivery of Innovator Support programmes, overseeing staff and operational elements to meet agreed outcomes and funding requirements.
- Leading stakeholder engagement by managing a team of Navigators to maintain NHS, social care, and third sector networks, ensuring alignment with system priorities and innovation opportunities.
- Supporting business development, funding, and partnership activities to sustain and expand DigitalHealth.London’s strategic vision.

The Health Innovation Network (HIN) South London connects academics, NHS providers, commissioners, local authorities, patients, and industry to accelerate the adoption of innovations and best practices across health and social care. DigitalHealth.London supports NHS staff, digital health companies, and academics to improve care through digital technology by providing mentoring, education, networking, and partnership opportunities.
Recruitment Process
Please note there will be a two-stage assessment process, with main interviews on 13/14 January 2026. The top two candidates will be invited to a second interview with the Executive lead.
Qualifications
- Relevant Masters degree, equivalent professional qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Formal project management qualification (PRINCE2 Practitioner level or equivalent).
- Evidence of recent continuing professional development (CPD).
Experience
- Proven track record of leading successful projects and operational improvements, including business case preparation, service commissioning, contract negotiation, and monitoring of output and outcome measures.
- Experience managing large, multi-stranded budgets from diverse income sources.
- Demonstrable skills in individual, team, financial, process, and change management.
- Desirable: Highly developed knowledge of NHS environment, strategy, and policy agendas.

- Excellent management skills with the ability to motivate and coach staff.
- Extensive knowledge of operations and project management techniques.
- Strong interpersonal, communication (written, oral, presentation, facilitation), networking, and negotiation skills.
