About the Role
The Assistant Manager supports the Community Manager in the day-to-day management of the property portfolio to achieve budgeted revenue, occupancy, resident retention, and leasing goals. This role involves coordinating leasing and reservations activities, ensuring the property meets company standards, and delivering exceptional service to residents and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include managing leasing processes, monitoring unit availability, maintaining accurate records, promoting resident satisfaction, overseeing advertising and promotional activities, and supporting tenancy management including inspections, evictions, and rent arrears. The Assistant Manager also collaborates with the maintenance team to uphold property standards and assists in motivating and developing the on-site team. Acting as the Community Manager in their absence, this role requires participation in an on-call roster for emergency support and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant housing legislation.
Experience
- Proven success in driving leasing/sales performance and managing operations with P&L responsibility and budget monitoring within the property sector or a similar environment.
- Detailed knowledge of Landlord/Tenant Legislation.
- Experience motivating teams and delivering service excellence is desirable.
- Familiarity with UK Health and Safety policies is an advantage.
