About the Role
IMG, a leading global sports marketing agency and subsidiary of TKO Group Holdings, is seeking a Broadcast Event Engineer to support world-class live sports broadcasting and transmission services at major sporting events worldwide. This hands-on engineering role demands practical technical expertise, a strong understanding of broadcast technology, and the ability to work in demanding environments. You will deploy, test, and support transmission and connectivity solutions on-site, ensuring high-quality broadcast delivery for rights holders and broadcasters. The role involves installing, configuring, and testing fibre, network, and video transmission equipment, building and repairing cabling, configuring video encoding/decoding solutions, and troubleshooting issues under live event conditions. You will collaborate closely with customers, broadcasters, and production teams to support IP-based video contribution and distribution workflows.
Experience
- Live broadcast engineering experience
- Broadcast transmission experience
- Fibre connectivity experience
- Knowledge of video encoding and decoding
- Understanding of IP networking fundamentals
- Practical engineering experience including rack builds, cabling, and equipment installation
- Strong troubleshooting skills
