About the Role
Cingularity, a highly specialised global fibre network provider and part of IMG, is seeking a Broadcast Solutions Engineer to join their team during a period of development and expansion. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the direction of a growing business by designing and delivering technical solutions for premium live broadcast TV transmission. You will be responsible for identifying technical requirements and designing bespoke solutions for both event-based and permanent services, working closely with sales, engineering, operations teams, and clients. As part of a small, agile team, you will play a crucial role in driving client uptake and company growth, shaping customer solutions, and ensuring successful project initiation. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and design appropriate solutions aligned with Cingularity's offerings by collaborating with customers, sales, and engineering teams
- Develop revenue-generating solutions that meet customer requirements and delivery timelines
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to understand their business and assist in their technology strategy
- Document solutions with technical documentation, diagrams, and drawings for both customers and internal teams
- Engage regularly with suppliers and vendors for proposals, quoting, and final bill of materials
- Serve as the technical point of contact for all technical queries, contribute to RFI/RFP responses, and assist with white papers
- Support the sales team technically throughout the sales cycle and take ownership of solution design
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure solutions are supportable
- Assist in project initiation and further documentation of bespoke customer solutions alongside project management
- Maintain and develop technical knowledge to continually improve and innovate designs and solutions
- Provide technical training to the sales team
- Deliver presentations and hands-on demonstrations as required

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience as a Broadcast Engineer or similar role, ideally with degree-level education or equivalent experience
- Experience designing solutions in one or more of the following domains: Global Telecommunications, Video IP delivery and Data Transmission (Contribution and Distribution), Broadcast services, Sports and Event Broadcasting
- Excellent knowledge of telecommunications service providers' products, technologies, markets, and business models
- Expertise in video media processing (encoding/decoding) with solid understanding of industry standard codecs including MPEG, JPEG 2000, and JPEG XS
- Familiarity with transmission and monitoring equipment such as encoders, decoders, video routers, DAs, IP gateways, multiviewers, and transport stream monitoring
- Knowledge of the Net Insight portfolio, including MSR platform experience, is highly advantageous
- Working knowledge of Broadcast environments, workflows, and Broadcast IP technologies including SMPTE standards, switching, routing, and multicast
- Understanding of SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) delivery for low-latency video contribution and distribution over unmanaged IP networks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Omnigraffle, or similar applications for solution design
- Experience with Office 365 or G-Suite, with strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM and opportunity-tracking software is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new tools and emerging technologies

Qualifications
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory
- Relevant technical certifications or training in broadcast engineering or telecommunications is advantageous
