About the Role
The International Financial Controller is a hands-on finance position responsible for all controllership activities for IMG Commercial entities across the Americas (including branches in France, Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, PIMGSA & PIMGSA Holdco. This role ensures local and group reporting requirements are met, processes are fit for purpose, streamlined, and efficient. Key responsibilities include managing financial reporting and analysis, internal controls, budgeting, and supporting the annual group audit process.
The role involves managing all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining strong communication with IMG finance teams, legal, tax, and treasury. You will lead, direct, and guide a team of two direct reports, including training and supervision, and manage relationships with third-party advisors.
Responsibilities include period-end accounting, timely group reporting, transfer pricing calculations, tax submissions, and compliance with US GAAP requirements such as embedded derivative calculations and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations. You will support the wider controllership function by identifying and embedding best practices and contribute to the effective operation of IMG’s control environment.
The role also owns statutory audits, ensuring compliance with local statutory accounts, tax reporting, and 1099/1042 filings. You will act as the point of contact for the offshore shared service team (WNS) and be responsible for entity cash flow forecasting, liaising with treasury to meet funding requirements.
Additionally, you will maintain good relationships with HR and third-party providers to ensure timely payroll and benefits payments and accurate recording of HR-related expenses. Ad-hoc project work may be required.
