As Business Development Manager, you will manage and oversee all business development and customer management aspects across the business, preparing and negotiating bids and project contracts with a firm understanding of the UK&I construction market. You will be a key strategic contributor to the UK&I Business Development strategy, enhancing Ferrovial Construction’s market position and presence to achieve financial and reputational growth. Your role includes identifying and implementing strategic objectives that lead to strong client relations and sustainable business growth, targeting and negotiating business opportunities, and leading the development and implementation of strategies related to pre-qualification, tendering, and contract award processes.

You will provide detailed market analysis reports, maintain strong relationships with government, trade, and private sector networks, and actively drive Ferrovial’s presence and visibility in the market. You will support tender teams, prepare pipeline presentations, manage bid budgets, and ensure compliance with corporate procedures. This role requires leadership, motivation, and prudent resource management within budgetary and ethical guidelines.

Experience
- Relevant experience in business development, bidding, commercial management, project delivery, pre-construction or client management within construction or major infrastructure projects.
- Experience preparing expressions of interest, proposals, frameworks, or tenders.
- Proven experience negotiating and closing business deals within the UK&I market.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience leading business negotiations with government agencies, joint venture teams, and investors.
- Preparedness to educate and enhance the organisation’s commercial and client management capabilities.
- Ability to manage reputational credibility and mitigate brand risk.

Qualifications
- Tertiary degree in civil engineering or a similar discipline.
- Post-graduate qualifications in Construction, Business, or related disciplines are desirable.
