About the Role
Join Arcadis’ Cost and Commercial Assurance team and support clients in making informed commercial decisions across a variety of sectors. Working alongside a Senior Cost Consultant, you will assist in delivering cost verification commissions by analysing complex financial information, assessing contractual compliance, and presenting clear, evidence-based findings and recommendations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a Quantity Surveying, accountancy, or commercial background who enjoy working with data, asking insightful questions, and turning detailed analysis into meaningful client insight. Key responsibilities include managing defined areas of cost verification commissions, analysing cost data against contractual and commercial principles, reviewing cost and commercial management systems and processes, undertaking data sampling, payroll and employment contract audits, collaborating with project and finance teams to obtain key information, producing working papers and close-out reports with practical recommendations, presenting findings to contractors and stakeholders, mentoring junior colleagues, and travelling to client sites and other UK locations as required.
Experience
Experience in cost systems such as COINS, SAP, ICON, or Oracle is essential. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required. Knowledge of target cost or cost-reimbursable construction contracts is highly desirable. Proven ability to analyse and interpret complex data effectively. Experience working independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
About you
You have clear, confident communication skills and can engage with stakeholders at different levels. You are highly organised with strong attention to detail. You enjoy working with data and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. You are willing to travel to client sites and other UK locations when necessary. You are motivated to support and mentor junior colleagues.
Qualifications
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Accountancy, or a related discipline is preferred. Professional membership such as MRICS, ACCA, or FCA is advantageous but not essential. Commitment to continued professional development is supported and encouraged.
