Location
London - covering various boroughs including North East 1 (Enfield, Haringey, Waltham Forest, Hackney, City), North East 2 (Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets), West 1 (Ealing, Kingston and Richmond, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow), West 2 (Barnet, Brent, Camden and Islington, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington, Chelsea, Westminster), South 1 (Croydon, Bromley, Bexley, Greenwich, Lewisham), South 2 (Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton).

Hours
Full Time with an expectation to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) as part of your working week. Weekend working may be required to cover Community Payback supervisors or to visit project sites such as schools which are not accessible on weekdays. Weekend work is paid at a higher rate.

Salary
Starting salary of £26,475 with opportunity for annual pay progression through a Competency Based Framework (CBF) and annual pay band increases in line with Civil Service Pay guidance.

About the Role
This is a high-profile role within HM Prison & Probation Service responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with a range of partner organisations, customers, and stakeholders including voluntary and statutory organisations. You will ensure sufficient Community Payback work placements are available that meet quality standards and comply with relevant legislation to effectively carry out court sentences. The role supports people on probation in their rehabilitation journey and contributes to making communities safer and better places to live. You will explore opportunities for individuals to access on-the-job training and education to develop skills and improve employment prospects while completing unpaid work hours. Weekend working is part of the role’s normal pattern when required.

About you
You will be committed to supporting people on probation and improving community safety. You should have strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Flexibility to work weekends when required and a proactive approach to managing placements and projects are essential.

Qualifications
Candidates must hold a full UK Manual Driving Licence. Applications from candidates holding only an automatic driving licence will not be accepted.

Successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK and will be subject to criminal record and baseline personnel security checks.
