About the Role
We are seeking an experienced full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to provide senior medical cover on Byron Ward, our new 12 bed acute service for men. The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician, overseeing and maintaining the care of all ward inpatients, auditing medical services rendered at the ward, and ensuring quality in accordance with GMC standards and relevant professional guidelines. Byron Ward provides a safe environment for individuals experiencing an acute episode of mental illness requiring emergency admission. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, including a Specialty Doctor, qualified nurses, psychologists, and occupational therapists, and have the opportunity to progress to Medical Director Level through our management schemes. Experience
Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of mental health care and treatment.

Qualifications
Full registration with the GMC and a valid license to practice. Relevant postgraduate qualifications in psychiatry are desirable.
