About the Role

We are seeking a Distinguished Solution Engineer to join our UK Public Sector team, leading on our most strategic government accounts. This senior individual contributor role blends business consulting, technical expertise, and customer strategy to transform citizen experiences and improve society through Salesforce technology.

You will work closely with Account Teams, Government CTOs, product teams, and customers to shape how Salesforce’s platform and AI capabilities can drive operational change and enhance engagement with citizens and businesses. This role requires a trusted advisor who is hands-on, commercially savvy, and able to translate complex challenges into compelling solutions.

Key responsibilities include leading technical and business discovery workshops, building trusted partnerships with sales teams, shaping solution strategies aligned to UK Government priorities, delivering demos and prototypes, developing AI and data perspectives relevant to the Public Sector, demonstrating value throughout procurement processes, orchestrating internal resources, and contributing to the global Public Sector SE community.

Experience
Minimum 10 years in the IT industry with experience in pre-sales or implementation of customer engagement solutions, supporting CRM or high-value business solution sales. Strong understanding of enterprise technology architecture including cloud platforms, APIs, integration patterns, data infrastructure, and security. Proven ability to engage C-level business and technical stakeholders with excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of AI applications in enterprise settings, including large language models, agentic workflows, and AI-driven automation.

Qualifications
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with agentic AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Agentforce), familiarity with Salesforce Industry Clouds (especially Public Sector Solutions, Data Cloud, Salesforce Platform, Agentforce AI platform), design thinking, value-based selling, executive consulting, enterprise transformation, and Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform Developer, or AI Specialist.
