About the Role
Join the exciting refurbishment project at Mercure & ibis London Earls Court and Barnaby’s Restaurant & Bar as we transform into a modern, stylish 12-storey hotel with dual branding combining 3* and 4* products. As an Electrician, you will survey sites where electrical systems are installed, install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical systems in public spaces and buildings, ensuring compliance with national electrical safety standards and regulations. You will supervise ongoing electrical installations, provide technical expertise, identify and repair electrical problems, and advise management on replacing aged equipment to prevent hazards. Your role includes conducting general maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues using testing equipment, inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other components, and performing corrective maintenance on circuit breakers. A good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems, various test equipment, and experience in renewable energy is highly valued. Experience
- 2-3 years residential, commercial, or industrial electrical experience
- Extensive domestic electrical experience, preferably in social housing
- Experience with new builds, renovations, and historical restoration projects
- Experience in testing, inspection, and maintenance of electrical installations
- Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems and various test equipment
- Experience in renewable energy field is a plus

Qualifications
- One main trade qualification or time-served trades experience (e.g., NVQ 2, NVQ 3)
- Up-to-date electrician’s licence
- Appropriate Health & Safety Training certificates including Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling, Risk Assessments
- Associate’s degree in electrical technology preferred
- High school diploma or GCSE equivalent
