About the Role
Join Enfield’s transformative Children’s Services as an experienced Youth Mentor within our newly established integrated multi-agency wrap-around Family Help Hub and Enduring Relationships Hub. You will deliver targeted, time-bound, relationship-based, strengths-led youth mentoring interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting young people aged 10-18 with emerging or escalating needs.
Working alongside social workers, family help lead practitioners, and partner agencies, you will contribute to single, whole-family plans ensuring the voice, experience, and needs of young people are central to assessment, planning, and intervention.
You will work directly with young people who may resist engagement by positively engaging them in personalised and targeted youth work. Your role includes providing a wide range of youth work interventions such as advocacy, mentoring, information, advice and guidance, positive enrichment activities, and harm reduction advice.
You will develop and maintain professional relationships based on trust, aiming to help children aspire to positive outcomes by reducing risky behaviour, preventing care entry or placement breakdown, and supporting positive reunification home from care.
This is a great opportunity to join a service committed to high standards, professional curiosity, collective accountability, and innovation. You will receive comprehensive induction, bespoke training, and high-quality support from experienced managers, with opportunities to contribute to service development and professional growth.
Enfield Council values openness, learning, shared responsibility, and staff wellbeing, creating the conditions for everyone to do their best work to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
