About the Role
Join Enfield’s transformative Children’s Services by becoming a Safer Spaces Practitioner within our newly established integrated multi-agency Family Help Partnership Hub. This hub provides specialist, multi-disciplinary support to family help teams, enabling earlier intervention, strengthening whole family working, and preventing escalation to statutory social care.

The Safer Spaces Practitioner role is designed to ensure Enfield’s family help response is child centred, trauma informed, and aligned with national best practice. It strengthens the visibility of children affected by domestic abuse within assessment, planning, and intervention.

As a specialist practitioner, you will provide trauma-informed consultation and time-limited direct work to enhance family help responses for children affected by domestic abuse, focusing on trauma-informed recovery support. Working alongside social workers and family help lead practitioners, you will contribute to single, whole-family plans, ensuring the voice, experience, and needs of children and young people are central to assessment, planning, and intervention.

You will offer specialist consultation to family help case-holding practitioners on the impact of domestic abuse on children’s emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and development, sharing guidance on trauma-informed, age-appropriate approaches to engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a service committed to positive outcomes for children and young people. Our leadership culture values openness, learning, shared responsibility, staff wellbeing, professional development, and best practice. You will receive high-quality support from experienced management and opportunities to contribute to service developments.

Enfield is dedicated to supporting staff development through comprehensive induction and bespoke training programmes. Our Centre of Excellence fosters an environment for staff to deliver high-quality case work to vulnerable children and young people, promoting recruitment, professional development, and ongoing support.

We value a culture that empowers our people to work collaboratively, be open, honest, respectful, responsible, and continuously learn to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
