About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Trust includes five renowned hospitals: Guy’s, St Thomas’, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Royal Brompton and Harefield, along with community services in Lambeth and Southwark. We are committed to clinical excellence, research, innovation, and delivering the best possible patient experience.

The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of diverse engineering projects, including multimillion-pound major engineering initiatives. Acting as the Trust’s client representative, you will ensure effective programme management from inception to completion, meeting briefs, controlling budgets, and delivering quality outcomes. The role involves leading internal teams and coordinating multi-disciplinary external teams to manage project delivery, ensuring compliance with governance, safety, time, cost, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include providing high-quality project management of engineering and backlog maintenance projects, leading project delivery teams, managing project programmes through all RIBA stages, and ensuring compliance with legal, statutory, and building regulations. You will also provide engineering and technical advisory services, contribute to business case development, proactively address health and safety considerations, lead stakeholder engagement, and promote a zero-tolerance safety culture.

Working at Guy’s and St Thomas’ means joining a large, motivated workforce dedicated to delivering high quality, safe, and efficient care. We offer one of the most ambitious capital investment programmes in the NHS and a supportive environment that values equality, diversity, and inclusion.
