Estate Services and Open Spaces Manager

Location
London Borough of Newham, reporting office in Stratford with hybrid working (20% - 40% contractual hours at office). Tuesdays at Stratford office and one other day visiting local housing management office.
Hours
Permanent, full-time role with hybrid working arrangements.
Salary
£57,094 to £63,032 per annum (London weighted salary) dependent on experience.
About the Role
Join the Estate Services & Open Spaces Team at L&Q as an experienced Estate Services and Open Spaces Manager. You will inspire and lead a talented team to deliver outstanding, resident-focused services that shape thriving neighbourhoods and strengthen communities. Your role will ensure shared spaces are well maintained and places residents are proud to call home. You will manage the operational delivery of estate services and community development around open spaces and communal areas, ensuring reliable, consistent services through valued contracts. Building strong partnerships with key stakeholders and residents will be essential to enhance neighbourhood satisfaction. You will also be responsible for effective management of resources and budgets, representing and championing L&Q’s values while contributing to financial strength and excellent customer experience.

Experience
Extensive contract management experience including managing high-value contracts, contractors, consultants, and procurement activities. Strong knowledge of estate management, open spaces, service charge legislation, leasehold requirements, and the wider regulatory environment. Proven ability to engage residents, co-create practical solutions, and continuously improve services with quality and pace.
About you
Excellent leadership and people management skills with experience developing and motivating teams in complex service environments. Strong commercial, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, deliver value for money, and explain complex information clearly. Ability to manage large data sets, financial information, and provide accurate service charge information.
