About the Role
At Peabody, we are dedicated to keeping our residents safe, supporting thriving communities, and delivering homes people can rely on. Our Fire Remediation Team plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and maintaining safe, compliant, and future-proof buildings. We are seeking a Fire Remediation Manager (Major Works) to lead the delivery of critical building safety projects.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of major cladding and fire safety remediation schemes, overseeing projects from investigation and design through tendering, on-site delivery, handover, and final account. You will work closely with internal teams, technical experts, contractors, and external authorities to ensure residents’ safety and project success. This hands-on, collaborative role requires professionalism, clarity, and confidence to navigate complex projects, keeping all stakeholders informed and engaged.

Your responsibilities will include leading major remediation projects ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, managing the full project lifecycle including investigation, design development, planning and building control, contractor procurement, site delivery, and completion. You will monitor workmanship quality, progress, and contractor performance while managing risks, budgets, and commercial aspects. Building strong relationships with colleagues, contractors, residents, and external stakeholders is essential, as is maintaining high-quality documentation and reporting to uphold the golden thread of information. You will champion a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and resident-focused service.

The role involves a monthly office day at our Waterloo office, with the majority of your time spent on site actively managing projects to ensure safe, high-quality delivery.

Experience
- Proven experience managing development, refurbishment, or fire remediation schemes.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, timescales, quality, and risk.
- Experience leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams.
- Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of legal, commercial, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Relevant fire safety qualification (e.g., IFE, IFSM, CIOB Level 6) and HNC or above in a related field.
