Part-time, 8 hours per week, working flexibly across Tuesdays and Thursdays depending on service needs. Shop opening hours are 1pm – 4pm, with full day shifts typically 9am – 4pm.

About the Role
Are you passionate about helping people and making a difference in your local community? We are seeking a Food Hub Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our Food Hub in Harold Hill, Havering. This exciting new role works alongside the Food Hub Supervisor to ensure customers receive a welcoming, supportive, and efficient service. You will help keep the Food Hub running smoothly by supporting operations, managing stock, assisting with events, and helping customers access affordable food and wider support services. This role involves physically active tasks such as moving deliveries, storing stock, climbing stairs, and occasionally helping customers carry shopping. A basic DBS check is required.

Experience
Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in retail, hospitality, food, warehouse, or stockroom environments.

About you
Good communication and organisational skills.
Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
A proactive, friendly, and community-focused approach.
Food safety and hygiene knowledge is desirable.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.

Qualifications
No formal qualifications required, but a basic DBS check is mandatory for this role.
