About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and organised Gardening Team Leader to join our Estate Services Team within the Housing & Regeneration Directorate. This role involves leading and supporting a team to maintain clean, safe, and well-maintained estates across multiple locations. You will plan and organise daily work, carry out site visits and inspections, and ensure tasks are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. You will also engage professionally with residents, manage team matters including attendance and development, and ensure safe use and maintenance of equipment and vehicles. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone comfortable working outdoors and committed to delivering excellent service standards.

Experience
Proven experience leading or supervising a team in gardening, estate services, or a similar environment. Experience working outdoors in manual or physically demanding roles. Knowledge of horticulture and grounds maintenance practices.

About you
Awareness of health and safety and safe working practices, including equipment use. Ability to plan and organise work effectively and support staff to meet service standards. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with residents and stakeholders. Reliable, positive, and adaptable to changing priorities. Full UK Category B driving licence with confidence driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
