About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the development and implementation of the Trust's strategic capital finance programme while managing the Capital Projects and Asset team. The Trust typically spends circa £100M per annum on capital projects, and this role is responsible for ensuring that the Trust’s capital plan aligns with the Directorates' capital needs, available financial funding, and the capital resource limit.

Experience
Expert knowledge of capital accounting procedures and NHS finance policies, with a successful record in staff leadership roles at a senior level. Experience in leading capital planning for a large organization and negotiating with Integrated Care Boards is essential.

About you
Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance staff. Highly developed analytical skills to review complex processes and recommend appropriate changes to improve efficiency.

Qualifications
Professional Accountancy Qualifications or equivalent, with up-to-date Continuing Professional Development. Further specialist training such as a Masters’ in Business Administration or equivalent experience is desirable. Prince 2 Practitioner certification is also preferred.
