About the Role
Join our Health & Benefits Team as a Risk Benefits Consultant, playing a key role in supporting clients across all aspects of workforce health management. You will provide expert consulting services by advising clients on risk and health-related insurances and helping implement effective solutions that support employee wellbeing. Your work will directly influence how organisations protect, manage, and enhance the health of their people.

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the full spectrum of group insurance services including market broking, renewals, day-to-day administration, and strategic consulting. You will support clients with underwriting, funding models, benefits, scheme governance, absence management, and wellbeing services.

The role involves working closely with WTW consultants and clients on the provision and selection of risk and related insurances, providing strategic consultative advice on the design, delivery, and ongoing management of benefit programmes. You will liaise with and manage providers, negotiate and influence as appropriate, service and retain clients with exceptional credibility, plan and organise renewals, assist with re-broking exercises, and maintain quality control procedures.

Continuous professional development is encouraged, including staying updated on economic, legislative, and regulatory changes and supporting the development of colleagues’ technical knowledge and experience within the risk market.

Please note the successful candidate is expected to start from January 2027.

Requirements

Experience
Comprehensive and up-to-date technical knowledge and practical experience in Employee Benefits. Consulting experience within the employee benefits risk market is essential. Excellent knowledge of the group risk market is required, ideally supported by a GR1 qualification. Experience in healthcare is advantageous, ideally supported by an IF7 qualification, but not essential.

About you
Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-disciplinary teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Quick learner with initiative, able to manage and organise workload effectively. Able to work quickly and accurately in a professional environment. An understanding of broader employee health issues, wellbeing, and technology platforms is advantageous and supports future progression.

Qualifications
GR1 qualification is highly desirable. IF7 qualification is advantageous but not essential. Relevant professional certifications and continuous learning in employee benefits and risk consulting are valued.
