About the Role
We’re looking for an accomplished Credit Research professional or Investor to join WTW’s global investment team in a senior capacity. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in shaping our credit research, manager selection and portfolio implementation activities across an increasingly diverse global client base of institutional investors, spanning both delegated and advisory mandates. You’ll bring strong investment judgement and deep expertise across credit markets, taking ownership of complex manager research and allocation decisions, and helping to set research priorities and investment views.

Beyond individual research responsibilities, you’ll mentor and develop colleagues globally, and influence investment decision-making across the wider business.

The Role
Lead high-quality, solution-focused manager research and due diligence across credit strategies, potentially including LDI, investment grade credit, emerging market debt and alternative credit such as high yield, loans and securitised credit. Help shape the strategic direction and priorities of the broader credit research agenda, ensuring research is relevant to the investment solutions delivered across our global client base.

Play an influential role within the global credit research team and asset class investment committee, bringing well-developed views, constructive challenge and strong investment judgement. Lead and contribute to regular reviews of credit model portfolios and multi-manager solutions, proactively recommending asset allocation and implementation changes where appropriate.

Bring together manager research, portfolio construction, strategic investment objectives and risk considerations to support strong client outcomes. Provide senior-level input into investment thinking and thought leadership for both internal and external audiences. Partner closely with the Global Portfolio Management Group and client teams to ensure WTW’s strongest investment ideas are reflected appropriately across portfolios and client solutions.

Act as a senior subject matter expert on credit, communicating investment philosophy, portfolio views, research conclusions and recommendations confidently to colleagues, asset managers, senior stakeholders and clients. Drive high standards across research and portfolio outputs, identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, decision-making and efficiency.

People
Build trusted relationships across global functions, particularly Asset and Manager Research, Portfolio Management, Operations and client teams. Provide leadership, coaching and direction to junior members of the research team, supporting their technical and professional development. Take responsibility for effective delegation and oversight while maintaining accountability for high-quality outcomes.

Help foster an intellectually curious environment where investment views are constructively challenged and colleagues are encouraged to develop and articulate their own perspectives. Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative culture in which knowledge and expertise are shared across teams and geographies. Encourage adherence to WTW values.

Financial
Identify, research and rate strategies capable of delivering meaningful value for portfolios and clients. Shape scalable approaches to credit manager research, enabling high-quality investment insight to be delivered efficiently across multiple client portfolios. Support client growth and retention by acting as a credible senior subject matter expert for existing relationships and prospective clients.

Requirements

Experience
Deep understanding of credit markets, investment principles and a range of investment management approaches, combined with strong knowledge of the current manager universe. Proven track record in researching, selecting and/or allocating to credit strategies, with credibility to form and defend independent investment views. Experience across LDI, investment grade credit and/or other liquid and alternative credit strategies is advantageous. Institutional client-facing experience with confidence to communicate complex investment views clearly to sophisticated audiences. Good understanding of institutional investor objectives and practical portfolio implementation, ideally across DB, DC or Wealth. Experience leading, mentoring or developing others, with ability to provide direction while empowering colleagues. Strong judgement and confidence to make well-reasoned investment decisions when perfect information is not available.

About you
Intellectually curious with a willingness to challenge established thinking while remaining open to challenge from others. Excellent communication skills, able to articulate and defend investment views and recommendations internally and externally. Strong attention to detail alongside the ability to consider strategic implications of investment decisions. Focused on effective, scalable delivery, including thoughtful use of AI where appropriate within investment and research processes.

Qualifications
We recognise strong candidates may not meet every criterion and encourage applications from those with relevant experience and a willingness to continue developing in the role.
