About the Role
Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council. We are one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.

We are seeking a Housing Adviser to provide an exceptional service to residents. You will act as the first point of contact for customers, dealing with requests professionally and sympathetically. You will be required to provide an efficient and effective front-end reception and telephone service, take ownership of issues, deal with enquiries and provide a first-class response within agreed timescales.

You will need to use computer systems to update records accurately and perform various administrative duties related to the customer service function. Additionally, you will provide support to other teams within the Housing Service and ensure all reception office services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

You will be key to improving resident satisfaction, building trust and ensuring residents receive a great service. The role requires discretion, the ability to build positive relationships at all levels, and a calm, solutions-focused approach. With a commitment to collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement, you will help embed modern, efficient working practices and play an important role in enabling the Housing Management Team to deliver its strategic priorities.
