About the Role
Lead and innovate a transformative Peer Mentoring Programme across Local London, supporting residents experiencing drug and/or alcohol dependency to build confidence, achieve stability and progress towards employment. This fixed-term contract runs until March 2029.

As a Team Leader, you will manage and support a team of Peer Mentors with lived experience of recovery, fostering a supportive, reflective and inclusive environment where they can safely and effectively use their experience to assist residents on their recovery and employment journeys.

You will drive programme performance, build strong local partnerships, oversee reporting and assurance requirements, and contribute to the ongoing evaluation and development of the programme. The role sits at the intersection of recovery, health and employment support, helping people furthest from the labour market take positive steps towards a brighter future.

The Peer Mentoring Programme aligns closely with Local London's wider employment and skills offer, including Connect to Work and Employment Trailblazers, enabling you to create joined-up pathways that support residents from recovery and stabilisation towards sustainable employment and independence.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a lived-experience workforce and help shape an innovative new service from the ground up, making a meaningful difference to the lives of residents facing complex barriers to employment.

Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches.
Committed to supporting both residents and staff to achieve their potential.
Motivated to lead and develop a new service and workforce.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and create a positive, supportive team culture.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are mandated, but relevant professional or sector-specific qualifications will be advantageous.
A commitment to continuous professional development and learning is essential.
