Following successful progression under Redbridge Social Work framework

About the Role
Redbridge Youth Justice and Targeted Prevention Service (YJTPS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic qualified social worker to join our committed multi-agency team. The role involves planning and delivering services to support children within the youth justice system to fulfil their potential, make positive contributions to society, and promote a childhood removed from the justice system. You will carry out assessments, prepare reports, and manage statutory Court Orders and Out of Court Disposals, ensuring interventions are desistance focused while prioritising the safety of children and the community. Working within Redbridge policies and procedures, you will creatively engage children and families facing complex challenges, building on positives and understanding the impact of exploitation, trauma, and adverse childhood experiences.

You will be responsible for implementing intervention plans using appropriate and targeted resources to deliver focused outcomes, maintaining up-to-date records in line with National Standards, and working effectively both independently and as part of a multi-agency service. The role requires knowledge of out of court disposals, court work, case management, and the ability to interpret and apply childcare and youth justice legislation.

The position embraces the Child First approach to develop children’s pro-social identity for sustainable desistance, leading to safer communities and fewer victims. We support social workers’ professional growth through regular supervision, professional development sessions, and access to group or specialist supervisions for complex case discussions and reflection.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
