About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Dental Directorate at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust as an Information & Administration Officer. This role supports the Dental Digital and IT Team and provides assistance to the wider directorate. You will handle daily IT, digital, and Epic system queries received via email and phone, deliver training across floors to ensure correct processes are followed, and maintain, validate, and securely manage clinical databases with a focus on data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include producing and analysing routine and ad-hoc reports, supporting audits and quality improvement projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary team meetings, managing service inboxes, and acting as the first point of contact for training support queries. You will also support service improvement initiatives by reviewing and updating data processes, escalating data breaches, and liaising with clinical teams and researchers to support data collection and reporting.

Experience
- Proven experience delivering high standards in a fast-paced, high-volume customer care environment
- Ability to deal independently and efficiently with a range of issues
- Proven administrative experience including data analysis, clinical audits, and information management
- Familiarity with NHS clinical and information systems such as Epic is desirable

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary staff
- Ability to handle confidential data and sensitive issues discreetly
- Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines
- Flexible, positive 'can do' attitude with the ability to cope with changing demands
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Excellent communication skills face to face, in writing, and on the telephone
- Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable
Qualifications
- English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Diploma or NVQ Level 3 and City and Guilds Level in Business Administration
- Evidence of formal training in administration practices including hospital administration
- IT package qualification/training (e.g. European Computer Driving Licence) and customer service qualification/training are desirable
