About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a wide range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care nationally. The Trust is home to world-leading facilities including the largest dental school in Europe, a £160 million Cancer Centre, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, and a recently merged world-renowned heart and lung centre with Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals.

We are seeking a kind, compassionate, driven, ambitious and motivated leader to join Clinical Imaging & Medical Physics (CLIMP) as Deputy General Manager. This role predominantly supports the diagnostic radiology service and Medical Physics department, ensuring operational management of high volume, complex imaging and diagnostic services while assuring delivery against key targets such as DM01, cancer imaging, and RTT.

The Deputy General Manager will provide senior leadership, operational oversight, and strategic support to the service management team and technical staff. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to clinical transformation and innovation within a directorate committed to excellence and continuous improvement.

CLIMP encompasses Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Medical Physics services, all at the cutting edge of their fields. Radiology is one of the largest services nationally, including adult, paediatric, and interventional radiology. Nuclear Medicine is among the largest UK departments, offering diagnostic, screening, radiopharmacy, and therapy services. Medical Physics supports a wide range of clinical and research activities across multiple sites.

The role involves managing operational performance, staff administration and clerical management, and leading strategic priorities such as expanding private patient services, strengthening internal partnerships, and improving diagnostic performance to meet cancer and waiting time targets.

If you have strong operational leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high quality patient care, we encourage you to apply and join our motivated and engaged workforce.
