About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a wide range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care nationally. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Centralised Administration and Data Quality Team as a Data Quality Analyst. You will play a key role in improving data quality, patient pathway accuracy, and administrative safety within a complex NHS environment.

You will deliver high-quality analysis and insight to support data-informed decision making, helping to improve patient experience and health outcomes. Working closely with clinical, operational, BI, Epic, and IT colleagues, you will analyse, validate, and resolve complex data quality and pathway issues using Epic, dashboards, and reports to identify risks, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.

The role involves supporting Trust-wide data quality improvement initiatives, developing robust review methods, and communicating complex information clearly to non-analytical audiences. You will contribute to a collaborative, improvement-focused culture within the team and ensure compliance with information governance standards and Trust policies.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ is renowned for clinical excellence, research, and teaching, with a strong commitment to patient care and staff development. The Trust offers a supportive and inclusive working environment with ambitious capital investment programmes and a focus on continuous improvement.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven ability to collate, analyse and interpret complex datasets, with experience explaining findings clearly to non-analytical audiences.
- Experience identifying root causes of data quality issues and developing effective, evidence-based solutions.
- Experience working with administrative or patient-pathway data within healthcare, including validation, correction, or reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience with Epic (Reporting Workbench, Workqueues, Referral/Pathway views) and/or MIDAS dashboards.
- Desirable: Experience working with multiple stakeholders to support improvement or change activities.

About you
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and judgement skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to adapt style for different audiences.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of elective access processes, RTT rules, or patient pathway administration.
- Desirable: Advanced Excel skills or experience using analytical tools to automate or streamline reporting and analysis.

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level with high numeracy, or Master’s level/equivalent experience in data analysis and/or administrative data quality.
