We are seeking a professional and effective Credit Controller to join our Income Treasury and Cashiers team. In this role, you will manage credit control and cash collection for assigned accounts, ensuring prompt and efficient collection of monies due in line with targets. You will handle customer queries and complaints, produce reports, and reconcile accounts according to departmental procedures.
The role involves managing a portfolio of debt from NHS, private, international patients, research partners, and domestic non-NHS customers. You will use your credit control and negotiation skills to meet daily and monthly targets, working with minimal supervision. Strong communication, Excel skills, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
The Credit Controller will liaise with budget holders, external debt collectors, and internal departments to resolve outstanding debts and disputes. Some litigation and court attendance may be required. You will also provide cover for other Credit Controllers as needed.

Experience
- Considerable experience working within a debtors and credit control team, including direct involvement in all aspects of credit management and litigation.
- Experience using a computerised sales ledger system and contributing to system improvements.
- Proven track record of high collection rates and ability to manage workload independently to meet deadlines.

Qualifications
- AAT Intermediate, ICM Certificate Level, NVQ Level 4 in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- ECDL qualification or equivalent experience.
