About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Trust is renowned for clinical excellence, research, and teaching, and is part of King’s Health Partners, an academic health sciences centre.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate registered nurse to join our dynamic Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) team as a Band 6 Deputy Clinical Nurse Specialist. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals living with complex ILD conditions across inpatient, outpatient, and virtual settings. You will support acute and long-term disease management, provide education and holistic support to patients and their families, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams including consultants and specialist services.
The postholder will contribute to nurse-led clinics, patient assessments, clinical decision-making, and development of individualised care plans. You will support immunosuppressive therapy pathways, administer infusions, and provide advice to colleagues. The role also involves service development, quality improvement initiatives, audit, education of nursing staff, and collaboration with the wider ILD teams across Guy’s and St Thomas’ and the Royal Brompton Hospital following their merger.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop advanced specialist skills within a supportive and progressive team, helping to shape the future of ILD care and ensuring services remain innovative, responsive, and aligned with Trust values and national standards.
