The Health Innovation Network (HIN) South London, hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’, is seeking an experienced Lead Analyst to head a small team within the Insights team. This role involves leading data analytics to support insight and evaluation projects across a varied portfolio, including internally and externally commissioned work. The Lead Analyst will also contribute to bids and proposals for fee-for-service projects.

The successful candidate will provide expert leadership in data analytics, quantitative analysis, and data visualisation to support evidence-based decision making. Responsibilities include managing and developing a team of analysts, driving innovation in data collection and reporting, advising programme teams and senior leaders, overseeing data governance and compliance, and supporting evaluation of innovation and improvement initiatives. This strategic leadership role requires the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and demonstrate the value of innovation across health and care systems.

Health Innovation Network South London works collaboratively with NHS England, the Office for Life Sciences, industry partners, clinicians, patients, and the public to improve health and care outcomes through innovation, service redesign, and integration of physical, mental health and social care services. Experience
- Proven experience delivering quantitative analysis within evaluations, including digital innovation projects.
- Experience translating high-level requirements into informatics solutions such as data acquisition, analysis, visualisation, KPI development, and bespoke data collection tools.
- Substantial experience using analytical tools including Excel, dashboards (Power BI, Tableau), statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R), and programming languages.
- Experience working as a data analyst within NHS and/or social care settings.
