About the Role
Camden Council is seeking an experienced and insightful Maths Co-ordinator to join the Adult Essential Skills department on a 0.4 FTE basis. Working alongside a 0.6 FTE Maths Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing flexible and innovative adult Maths engagements. This includes delivering relevant and motivating one-to-one and small group sessions to adults in Camden, including Maths-related sessions on financial awareness.
You will gather and provide information regarding Maths provision across the borough, ensuring residents are supported to access appropriate courses. Promoting Maths learning opportunities to local community organisations and effectively collecting and presenting learner views and other data will also be key aspects of your role.
This post requires an Enhanced DBS check and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Camden Council offers the DBS update service.
Experience
Proven experience teaching adult Maths is essential, with a strong track record of enabling progression outcomes for adult learners. Experience working with learners from diverse backgrounds, including those whose first language is not English, and supporting learners with identified learning needs such as dyscalculia is required.

Qualifications
A minimum Level 5 adult teaching qualification is essential, such as the Level 5 Diploma in Adult Education & Training, DTLLS, or PGCE. You must hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Maths and a Level 2 qualification in English.
