About the Role
Camden Children’s Safeguarding and Social Work are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and influential Team Manager for the Fostering Team. This role involves managing a team of at least five workers and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, comprehensive, and effective fostering service. You will provide professional leadership, facilitate multi-agency collaboration, and oversee the support and development of approved Foster Families and Kinship foster carers. The Fostering Team works closely with Children Looked After, Care Leaver services, and Adopt London North.
As Team Manager, you will focus on developing and embedding systemic thinking and ways of working to deliver excellent social work practice and partnership working, improving outcomes for children and families. Experience
Proven track record of management and leadership within fostering services, including managing teams, meeting KPIs, and maintaining high standards. Experience working with Kinship and Foster carers is essential. Supervisory experience in social work is required.
About you
You will be a fully qualified and accredited Social Worker with current Social Work England registration and at least two years post-qualifying experience. You will demonstrate strong leadership skills, the ability to motivate staff, drive performance, and prepare teams for inspection. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a diverse range of professionals are essential. You will possess analytical and budget management skills, IT proficiency for data recording and information systems, and experience with strategic and project management is beneficial.
Qualifications
Fully qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration. Comprehensive knowledge of the legislative framework relating to children, including the Children Act 1989, Fostering Service Regulations 2011, National Minimum Standards, and other relevant guidance and standards governing work with children and families.
