About the Role
As a Nursery Teacher with DfE Qualified Teacher Status at Langtry Nursery, you will lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of a high-quality early years curriculum with a full commitment to anti-discriminatory practice. This includes daily, weekly and termly planning tailored to meet children’s needs and interests.

You will be a key member of the nursery leadership team, promoting children’s development within a secure, safe and stimulating environment, following good practice curriculum guidance appropriate to the ages and stages of development.

The role involves acting as an advisor and taking lead responsibility for assessing children’s overall development through observations, recording achievements, and maintaining developmental records to a high standard. Planning and implementing interventions for children with SEND and additional needs is a key aspect.

Day-to-day work requires due regard to Child Protection and safeguarding procedures, reporting any concerns to the Head. You will work in partnership with professionals within the centre, children’s parents/carers, the children’s centre multiagency team, other council services such as the inclusive intervention team, and community resources including local schools and groups.

This is a permanent, full-time contract over 39 weeks term time, offered within the teachers’ pay and conditions act. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires an Enhanced DBS check. Camden also offers the DBS update service.
